Laser Hair Growth Treatment

For those suffering from hair loss, the situation can seem hopeless.  Fortunately, hair regrowth is not only possible, but has happened for thousands of users who have successfully undergone various forms of laser hair regrowth therapy.  Recipients of laser therapy are grateful to achieve optimal hair regrowth without undergoing surgery or taking an extensive battery of medications. As a matter of fact, many laser hair growth treatment clients have reported that their regrown hair is actually thicker and fuller than it was before!

Types of laser therapy

Consumers seeking laser hair regrowth have several choices to consider when weighing their laser hair therapy options.

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a non-surgical laser hair growth therapy that uses non-thermal light photons to heal hair follicles. The type of laser used is different from many peoples perceptions of lasers: it does not heat or burn the skin. The cool laser light is directed on the scalp and absorbed into the scalp’s surface. This energy is absorbed by the cells and repair of the hair follicle commences and the process of initiating laser hair regrowth commences.

If laser hair growth therapy is administered in a clinic, the client typically will sit under a dome-shaped machine for an allotted period of time (usually half an hour to an hour) while undergoing laser therapy. This treatment is generally repeated over the course of 7-9 months for optimal hair regrowth.

Consumers can also opt to utilize laser comb products in order to achieve hair regrowth. These hand-held devices can be used in the privacy of a consumer’s home and use the same type of Low Level Laser Therapy that clinics and hair treatment centers use. Laser comb users simply sweep the comb through their hair and the cool lasers shine on the scalp during the process. Laser therapy treatments with laser combs should be done approximately 2-3 times per week at 15 minutes per session.
